This Privacy Policy describes how Wezy Request a Quote & Hide Price ("we", "us", or "the App") collects, uses, and shares information when you install and use our Shopify application.

1. Information We Collect

When merchants install our App, and when their customers use the quote request form, we collect the following data:

From Merchants (Store Owners)

• Shopify store domain name
• Store owner email (for quote notifications)
• App configuration settings (button colors, form fields, notification preferences)
• Hide price rules configuration

From Customers (Store Visitors)

• Full name (required)
• Email address (required)
• Phone number (optional, if enabled by merchant)
• Message content (optional)
• Product information related to the quote request (product title, variant, quantity)
• Uploaded files/attachments (Premium plan only — stored on Cloudflare R2)

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:

• Process quote requests: Store and display quote submissions in the merchant's dashboard.
• Send email notifications: Notify the merchant of new quote requests and send confirmation emails to customers.
• Create draft orders: Generate Shopify draft orders on behalf of the merchant based on quote requests.
• Display rules on the storefront: Deliver hide-price rules and settings to the storefront theme extension.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

• Quote request data and app settings are stored in our secure database.
• File attachments (Premium plan) are stored on Cloudflare R2, a secure cloud storage provider, using encrypted connections.
• Email notifications are sent via Resend, a transactional email service.
• All data transmissions use HTTPS encryption.

4. Data Retention

Quote request data is retained for as long as the merchant has the App installed. Merchants can manually delete individual quote requests at any time from the App dashboard.

Upon app uninstallation, all data associated with the store is automatically and permanently deleted, including:

• All quote requests and customer data
• All hide price rules
• All app settings and configurations
• All session and authentication data

5. GDPR Compliance

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Shopify's mandatory data privacy requirements. We support the following webhooks:

• Customer Data Request: When a customer requests their data, merchants can view all associated quote requests in the App dashboard.
• Customer Data Erasure: When a customer requests deletion of their data, we automatically remove all quote requests associated with their email address.
• Shop Data Erasure: When a store requests erasure (48 hours after uninstall), we permanently delete all data associated with the store.

Merchants using this App are responsible for:

• Informing their customers about data collection through their own store privacy policy.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws in their jurisdiction.
• Handling customer data requests that relate to data stored outside of our App.

8. Your Rights

If you are a customer who has submitted a quote request, you have the right to:

• Request access to your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise these rights, please contact the store where you submitted your quote request, or contact us directly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify merchants of any significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
